Week of 1/3/11

Hola Amigos! Welcome to 2011 and another great year for great beer. We look forward to bringing a lot of new and exciting beers to the the menu. We are already off to a great start this new year as we are excited to offer some heavy hitters. First is a great Oatmeal Brown Ale from the fastest growing new brewery of 2010, Cigar City from Tampa, Florida. This is one silky smooth brown ale that has a distinct bite from the oatmeal. With a 96 of 100 score from Ratebeer.com you can;t go wrong with this beer! Also new to the list is a great belgian inspired Tripel from a great little brewery in Southern New Jersey, River Horse. Outrage IPA (Athens, NY): BRAND NEW RELEASE! Brewed by our good friend and loyal Bayside Press customer Kenny Landin, this is the very first release from Crossroads Brewing. A nice floral hop with a balanced finish, this is a great session beer. Exclusively at Press for this month! 7% abv
Harpoon Winter Warmer (Boston): Alas winter is here and time to bring on the malty treats! This Copper Ale is refreshing and full-flavored; a medium-bodied copper ale. Not too light, not too dark…it's just right. Perfectly balanced! 4.9% abv
Radeberger Pilsner (Germany): Long enjoyed by German nobility, this is the world’s most famous pilsner. One sip and you will know why! Super refreshing and very smooth! 4.7% abv
Blue Point Toasted Lager (Patchogue): LOCAL FAVORITE! Made From Six different malts its copper in color and displays a balanced flavor with a long lasting smooth toasted finished. 5.3% abv
Captain Lawrence Freshchester Pale Ale (NY): LOCAL FAVORITE! From Westchester comes this top rated aromatic crisp pale ale. Loaded with West Coast hops and a strong malty backbone, this is a great example of a classic American Pale Ale. 5.6% abv
Keegan’s Mothers Milk (Kingston, NY): LOCAL FAVORITE! A dark and creamy milk stout. Hints of oatmeal, chocolate and of course milk, give this stout a remarkably smooth finish. 5.5% abv
Magic Hat #9 (Vermont): A rather dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not quite pale ale that has been a staple at Press 195 for 5 years! #9 will continue to win over new drinkers. 4.6% abv
Allagash White Beer (Maine): Our number one seller is a traditional Belgian wheat beer brewed with a generous portion of wheat and a special blend of spices, this beer is light and delicious! Pairs well with just about any sandwich! 5.5% abv
